During lockdown, I helped organise an exhibition at Lewisham Art House dealing with the theme of wildness and humanity's relationship to nature. My work for the exhibition consisted of a series of sixteen small illustrations, inspired by mid-century Eastern Bloc matchbox labels and Jane McDevitt & Neil Whittington's fantastic Matchbloc book.

This series is diaristic - I based my illustrations on memories of my own travels. They're places that straddle the divide between urban and rural settings - mountains looming over Norwegian cities, cliff paths between coastal towns, urban meadows - and are all loaded with personal memory.
